This was by far the most elegant B&B we have ever stayed in, it truly fits the description "estate." Our stay at the Stone Edge Estate is without a doubt #1 on our experiences at B&B's. Doug was the warmest, most gracious host, making us feel very much "at home" during our week-long stay. The setting in the countryside was perfect for us.

“A Bed & Breakfast Everyone Will LOVE”
The best thing about the Stone Edge Estate was (1) the warm, friendly, helpful (gives great directions), attentive host (and wonderful Chef) - Doug, (2) the beautifully furnished, comfortable rooms which had everything in them we needed (loved the single cup coffee machine), (3) the quite, secluded feeling location, minutes from quaint little towns, but conveniently located a short drive from Toronto, should you choose to enjoy some big city activities. It was a wonderful home away from home, we are so glad we choose to stay here for the entire week we were vacationing in the beautiful province of Ontario, Canada. We will always think fondly of Doug and our experience at the Stone Edge Estate.

“South Fork”
This is without question the best B&B in which we have ever stayed. Apart from it's isolated location ( a plus in our books ) it ticks all the boxes: comfort , luxury , and attention to needs and detail. After a lifetime of travel this is the FIRST time I've ever bothered to write a review -it was that good

We booked all four rooms at the Stone Edge Estates for the weekend of my daughter`s wedding and our only regret was that we couldn`t stay longer! The warmth, hospitality and amazing breakfast are worthy of a six star rating! From the moment we arrived till the moment we left there was absolutely nothing that we wanted for. Doug is a warm and very gracious host, with a beautiful very well thought out venue.
There is an elevator that was key to us for my 85 year old father, the swimming pool for the children, and hot tub for the bride to be and bridesmaids. There were nine of us each night and we all felt that we had more than ample space to rest and relax both before the wedding and after. The decor is beautiful, the beds, bedding, and waking up to the enticing smells coming from the kitchen in the morning make this a perfect venue!
Doug ``Thank You`` just doesn`t seem enough to say what a wonderful time we had. Kim was so happy and relaxed the day of her wedding, and thank you again for being able to provide a delicious lunch on a very hectic day! We`ll be sure to send you some photo`s that were taken at the B& B prior to the wedding. Everyone of us that stayed will be sure to pass along our high recommendations and I`m sure you`ll see some of those faces again!

“Southern Ontario's Hidden Gem of a Luxurious & Affordable Getaway”
Once I decided I needed to get away for a weekend from the pulse of living downtown Toronto and not going to another city I was recommended this AMAZING B&B from a friend who knew exactly what peace, quiet, rest and relaxation was. My partn er and I needed the aforementioned needs and alone time and to do literally nothing but enjoy a weekend alone. This place did that and more. From the king sized and plush beds, jet pulsed bathtubs, amazing indoor pool, the hard-to-leave hot tub, picturesque view(s) of nature and forests, to the huge field to tan and play sports. The Stone Edge Estate is the perfect getaway for a business person, group retreat, romantic weekend for a couple, a wedding , a honeymoon, a group vacation and list can go on. Doug and his daughter were perfect hosts and even better breakfast cooks. I plan to visit again this summer, and this is also a must to go come winter for the outdoor activities in the enormous field then retire in the pool and hot tub on a cold winter night. This is Southern Ontario's hidden treasure for a perfect and quiet getaway. Only an hour outside of Toronto. LOVED IT.

“Country Living"
Recently spent two nights at this top quality modern B & B northwest of Toronto. Given excellent directions, warmly greeted by our host, Doug and immediately shown our room as well as around the home which was located close to our hiking route on the Bruce Trail. The bedroom was extremely spacious and very well appointed with striking views through many windows overlooking the surrounding rolling hills. Very nice patios off the bedroom on the second floor in addition to the large front porch. Outstanding breakfast with lots of options. Large brightly lit very clean bathroom complete with bottled water and a one cup coffee machine in each room. We could not have asked or hoped for better accommodations. Just a short ride to Erin or Terra Cotta for dinner. A definite "go back" place, whether hiking, biking, driving around the scenic countryside or relaxing in very quiet surroundings.

My family and I were looking for a nice place to stay near Georgetown, Ontario and were amazed by the beautiful estate, delicious breakfast and hospitality of Stone Edge's host, Doug Rapien. We liked it so much, we stayed for a second evening. My wife and I have stayed at many B&Bs around the world and this is by far the finest we have experienced in Canada.

This was an oasis of luxury in the middle of nowhere. Peaceful, quiet and serene, a place where the soul is fed along with the body. The food is homemade, nourishing and tastes great. You cannot find a thing to complain about except having to leave. You will count the days until you are able to return.I know I do.
